The Mandate

Four pillars.
One mandate.

CHWIS '27 is the Caribbean's only executive-level summit where the NCD crisis and the wellness economy opportunity are addressed in the same room — implementing the PAHO-CARICOM 2025–2029 Cooperation Strategy and building the Caribbean into a globally competitive health and wellness economy.

Pillar I

The NCD Reality

77% of Caribbean deaths from non-communicable disease. 18 years of declarations. The accountability cycle ends at CHWIS '27 — with named targets, named owners, and a 90-day reporting obligation.

Pillar II

Mental Health, Named

The 2025 CARICOM-UNICEF research surfaced what regional diplomats called 'embarrassed secrecy.' CHWIS '27 is the first Caribbean health summit to make mental health a mainstage plenary track, not a side event.

Pillar III

The Wellness Economy

A $990B global market growing to $2.4T by 2035 — and a Caribbean per-capita spend ten times below North America. The region's natural assets are world-class; the investment infrastructure to monetise them is not yet built.

Pillar IV

HealthTech & Capital

124 Caribbean HealthTech companies, $49.4M cumulative funding, and an ecosystem without infrastructure. CHWIS '27 hosts the region's first dedicated HealthTech showcase with real health-system buyers in the judging panel.
